Step 1: Citizen Registration & Citizen Acknowledgement
In order to login to the e-Grihanaksha Portal, the user should do Citizen registration (using an internet browser, type the ‘https://obpsudma.wb.gov.in’ in the address bar and press Enter).
In Citizen registration there are few mandatory fields like, Name, Mobile no., Email ID, preferred User Name, Password, ID proof.
After successful registration, an acknowledgement shall get by citizen. Also citizen shall get his username & password through sms & email notification. If the Citizen has forgotten the password, click ‘Forgot Password’ & reset his/her password.
Step 2: Login to the Application
For login, Citizen should enter his/her ‘User Name’ & ‘Password’ and type the ‘Captcha’ as it appears in the screen then press Login to enter the home page of the application.
Step 3: Apply to Service
After login to e-Grihanaksha Portal, the ‘Home Page’ will appear. It shows the 'WATER, SEWER/DRAIN CONNECTION' Section.
To proceed with the application the user needs to click on ‘Name Change in Water Connection’ under 'Show List of Application' tab.
Step 4: Common Application Form fill-up
Put AIN or Buyer Mobile No. and enter to the CAF, previous details (Site details, land details etc) will fetch. Citizen can change assessee name & assessee number.
Upload documents, like i) Occupancy Certificate / Permanent Water Connection Permission Letter, ii) Up to date paid up Municipal Property Tax / Mutation Certificate iii) Registered deed of transfer of the property for which Change of Water Connection will be affected are mandatory.
Save the input data’s (unique AIN shall generate) & send to Nodal Officer for final submission.
Step 9: File submitted to ULB (Citizen Completed, Nodal officer action pending)
When the file submitted, the application automatically moved to ULB.
Applicant receives sms & email notifications. This contains AIN & application status.
Step 10: Nodal Action
Nodal Officer shall forward the file to respective wings (Dealing Assistant & Water Dept.) for checking. Once checking done, each actors shall send back the file to Nodal Officer.
Based on that, Nodal Officer shall recommend to the Signatory Authority for approval (digitally signed certificates).
Step 11: Application approved
On clicking ‘Signature’ button at the detailed view page a pop-up will appear.
The user will have to click on the ‘Permanent Water Certificate’ icon to get the ‘Approval Certificate’.
